A Mission to Save.
A Desire to Grow.
A Vision to Build.

The ShIP

At Friendship Baptist Church, we believe in the power of true fellowship and community. Here, every heart is welcomed, every soul is valued, and every life has purpose. Our doors are open for worship, prayer, teaching, and service, where the love of Christ meets everyday life. We embrace the truth that “you may have your silver ships, gold ships, but there is no ship like Friendship.” Join us as we grow together in faith, hope, and love because at Friendship, you’re more than a member, you’re family.

OUR MISSION

At the Ship we want you to feel welcomed and loved from the time you pull into the parking lot and enter the sanctuary until you leave the church grounds.
Our ministries strengthen relationships among people of all ages within the church fellowship. We encourage each other in an environment that is positive, engaging, uplifting, safe and supportive, including Bible Study, personal support, social activities, and service and mission projects.
We offer courses to members that build upon your understanding of God's Word and build a closer relationship with God, so that you see spiritual growth. We offer education in discipleship, stewardship, covenant marriage, singles, bereavement, teacher training.
We provide opportunities for community leadership on social issues that affect our members and community, through our CITs ("Community IMPACT Teams"), including social reform, congregational response, and mobilizing our church's efforts towards moral, social and political issues.

Established in 1912, Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Fort Myers has served Southwest Florida for over a century.. Located at 2030 Palm Avenue, the historic, primarily African-American congregation has been a staple in the community.

THANK YOU FRIENDSHIP

To our wonderful Friendship family,

From the bottom of our hearts, First Lady Martha and I would like to express our deepest gratitude to our Pastor’s Aide Ministry for the beautiful way you organized and coordinated the Birthday and Anniversary expressions of love shown to us.

We are also sincerely thankful to every member who participated. Your generosity, kindness, and thoughtfulness overwhelmed us. The cash and gift cards, along with the many beautiful personal gifts, were not simply presents, they were tangible expressions of your love, encouragement, and appreciation.

We do not take your kindness for granted. Every card, every gift, every hug, every kind word, and every prayer reminded us how blessed we are to serve such a loving church family.

Thank you for loving us, praying for us, and walking alongside us in ministry. Your support strengthens and encourages us more than you know. It is truly our honor and privilege to serve Friendship Missionary Baptist Church.

May God richly bless each of you and return your generosity many times over.

With sincere love and appreciation,

Bishop Link Howard III and First Lady Martha Howard
