Don’t Let What’s Missing Blind You

 2 Kings 4:2
“Tell me, what do you have in the house?”

When the widow came to Elisha, she immediately described what she did not have. Debt was overwhelming her. Her resources seemed exhausted. Her future looked uncertain. But the prophet changed the question. He asked her to identify what remained.

Pressure has a way of making you inventory your shortages instead of your resources. You see the money you don’t have, the help that didn’t come, the opportunity that disappeared, and the ability you wish you possessed.

But sometimes God’s next move begins with something you’ve overlooked because it seems too small. Before you conclude that you have nothing, look again.

Here’s the challenge: Are you so focused on what is missing that you have undervalued what remains?

Action Step: Make a list of five things you still have—skills, relationships, resources, experience, or opportunities—and identify one you can put to work today.

Have a resourceful and Victorious Monday
