Don't assume the worst

Don't assume the Worst

Proverbs 18:17
"The first one to plead his cause seems right, until his neighbor comes and examines him."

One side of a story can sound completely convincing until you hear the other side. Wisdom refuses to build conclusions on incomplete information.

Relationships are damaged every day by assumptions. We interpret tone, assign motives, hear one version, and decide what happened without asking enough questions.

Slow down. Listen. Clarify. Give people the same fairness you would want if the story were about you.

Here's the challenge: Where have you formed an opinion without knowing the whole story?

Action Step: Before repeating or reacting to something you heard today, verify the facts with the appropriate person.

Have a fair-minded and Victorious Thursday
