“Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory…”
Growth changes things. It changes relationships, routines, expectations, and sometimes even the people who are comfortable with the old version of you.
Jabez was not ashamed to ask God for enlargement. There is nothing selfish about wanting to become more useful, more effective, more mature, and more capable of carrying what God has assigned to you.
You do not have to remain small to keep other people comfortable. Growth is not arrogance when God is doing the enlarging.
Here’s the challenge: Where have you been shrinking yourself because your growth might make someone else uncomfortable?
Action Step: Identify one area where you need to grow and take one concrete step toward development today.
