Stop Digging Up What God Buried
Micah 7:19
“You will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea.”
God knows how to forgive completely. We are often the ones who keep diving back into the water looking for what He threw away.
You can repent, receive forgiveness, and still spend years punishing yourself. You replay the decision. Rehearse the embarrassment. Wonder how things might have been different. But guilt cannot change yesterday. It can only steal today.
God’s forgiveness does not give you permission to ignore your mistakes. It gives you freedom to learn from them without living beneath them. You are not your worst day. Grace has given you another one.
Here’s the challenge: Why are you still prosecuting yourself for something God has already forgiven?
Action Step: When that old failure comes to mind today, refuse to rehearse it. Say aloud, “I learned from it, God forgave it, and I am moving forward.”
