Don’t Eat Your Seed
2 Corinthians 9:10
“Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown…”
God provides both bread and seed, but wisdom knows the difference. Bread is for today. Seed is for tomorrow. If you consume everything God puts in your hands, you leave nothing to produce a future harvest.
This principle reaches beyond money. Some of your time should be invested. Some of your knowledge should be shared. Some opportunities should be developed rather than immediately consumed. Maturity asks not only, “What can I enjoy now?” but also, “What should I invest for later?”
Here’s the challenge: Are you consuming everything God gives you or investing some of it into your future?
Action Step: Identify one resource—money, time, knowledge, or talent—that you can intentionally invest this week.
