We still do it. We make permanent decisions while angry, lonely, tired, discouraged, or afraid. Emotion tells us, "Do something now." Wisdom says, "Wait until you can see clearly."
Your feelings are real, but they are not always reliable leaders. You were created for more than momentary relief. Don't trade tomorrow's blessing for today's impulse.
