Borrowed Clothes Won't Fit

1 Samuel 17:39
"And David said to Saul, 'I cannot walk with these, for I have not tested them.' So David took them off."

Saul's armor was good armor. It simply wasn't David's armor.

Before David faced Goliath, he had enough wisdom to recognize that he could not win his battle pretending to be somebody else.

Comparison will make you wear things God never fitted for you. Somebody else's style. Somebody else's calling. Somebody else's methods. Somebody else's definition of success.

Before long, you're uncomfortable trying to become someone God never created you to be.

God has already given you what you need for your assignment. David didn't need Saul's armor because he had already learned what God could do with a sling.

You don't have to imitate somebody else's anointing to walk confidently in your own.

Here's the challenge: Where are you trying to become somebody else because you don't believe what God put in you is enough?

Action Step: Name one strength God uniquely gave you and intentionally use it today instead of comparing yourself with someone else.
