Finish Today's Assignment

John 17:4
"I have glorified You on the earth. I have finished the work which You have given Me to do."

We often become overwhelmed because we're trying to carry tomorrow's responsibilities while neglecting today's assignment. Jesus lived with remarkable focus. He wasn't distracted by every opportunity or every expectation. He finished the work the Father had given Him.

Not everything that demands your attention deserves your attention. A life of purpose requires the courage to say no to good things so you can say yes to God's best. Faithfulness is found in finishing today's assignment well.

Here's the challenge: What distraction is keeping you from completing what God has already placed in front of you?

Action Step: Choose the most important task God has given you today and complete it before moving on to something else.
