Moving Forward Together
Dear Friendship Family,
As I reflect on all that God has done over these past few months, my heart is filled with gratitude. We have witnessed His faithfulness, His provision, and His grace in ways both large and small. Through every challenge, every transition, and every victory, God has continued to remind us that He is not finished with Friendship Missionary Baptist Church.
The Apostle Paul reminds us in Philippians 3:13-14, "...forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark..."
While we cannot change the past, we can learn from it. While we cannot control tomorrow, we can trust the One who already stands there. Our focus must remain on moving forward together in faith, focus, and fruitfulness.
I am encouraged by the renewed spirit I see throughout our church family. Prayer Meeting continues to grow. Bible Study remains strong. Empowerment Hour is flourishing. Ministries are being revitalized. New visitors are joining us in worship. Most importantly, lives are being touched by the power of God's Word.
As leaders and members, we must remember that every ministry exists for one purpose: to help people know Christ, grow in Christ, and serve Christ. Buildings matter. Programs matter. Budgets matter. But people matter most. Every decision we make should help us become a healthier church spiritually, stronger in our fellowship, and more effective in reaching our community.
Over the next several months, we will continue strengthening our ministries, improving our systems, expanding outreach opportunities, and preparing Friendship for the future God has planned. This is not the work of a few individuals. This is the work of an entire church family committed to serving together.
I encourage you to stay engaged. Stay prayerful. Stay supportive. Stay available for whatever God may ask of you in this season.
The best days of Friendship are not behind us. By God's grace, they are still ahead of us.
Thank you for your faithfulness, your prayers, and your commitment to this church and to the Kingdom of God.
Together, let us continue moving forward.
Serving Christ and Serving You,
