The Pastors Pen
Pastor’s Pen
Dear Friendship Family,
Grace and peace to each of you.
I want to take a moment to thank God for what He is doing in this house and to commend each of you for your faithfulness. We are in a season where God is moving, and it is evident in the life of our church.
We are seeing progress.
Attendance is growing.
We continue to assess our ministry’s reactivation capacity as we aim to meet spiritual, physical, and emotional needs through dedicated programs.
There is a renewed spirit of participation and presence among the people of God.
We are experiencing purpose.
We are studying the Word.
We are praying with intention.
We are growing in faith and in fellowship.
And all of this is happening because of your faithfulness and your focus.
Your consistency.
Your commitment.
Your dedication.
We are also witnessing alignment.
Our boards are aligned.
Our ministers are aligned.
Our leadership is moving together in unity.
There is a spirit of cooperation and clarity that is strengthening the foundation of this church.
We are experiencing elevation.
Our music ministry is taking us to higher levels of worship week after week.
Our worship is becoming more meaningful, more focused, and more God-centered.
We are not just having church,
we are encountering God.
Faithfulness in stewardship and accountability is evident.
The bookkeeper came on board as of April 16, 2026. Stay tuned for an update from the Trustee Board on the financial health of the church, to include a Balance Sheet, Income Statement and a Reconciliation of the Capital Campaign Funds.
Our administrative processes are becoming more accurate and more informative.
Systems are being put in place that will support the continued growth and effectiveness of this ministry.
Because a healthy church is not only spiritual but also structured.
And now, as we move forward, let us remain:
Prayerful — seeking God in everything we do.
Purposeful — staying focused on the assignment He has given us.
Passionate — serving with energy, excellence, and expectation.
Let us not lose momentum.
Let us not become distracted.
Let us not grow weary in well doing.
Because what God has started in this house, He is going to finish.
I am grateful to serve as your pastor during this season.
I am encouraged by what I see.
And I am confident in what God is yet going to do.
Let us continue to move forward together.
With gratitude and expectation,
Bishop Link Howard III
