Good Friday
The Cost We Don’t Want to Face
John 19:30

We celebrate the cross,
but we rarely sit with its weight.
This is not symbolic suffering.
This is real blood.
Real pain.
Real abandonment.
And it was necessary.
Not because God is cruel,
but because sin is costly.
We prefer grace that feels good
without confronting what it cost.
But the cross does not allow that.
It stands as a declaration:
this is what it took.
And if this is what it took to save us,
what does that say about what needed saving?
