Palm Sunday
The Crowd That Turned
Luke 19:38
They shouted with conviction.
Not hesitant. Not uncertain.
“Blessed is the King…”
But conviction is not the same as commitment.
The same mouths that praised Him
would soon grow quiet,
or worse,
join another chorus.
Because Jesus did not become
what they wanted Him to be.
He did not overthrow Rome.
He did not meet their timeline.
He did not perform on demand.
So their praise had a limit.
There is a kind of faith
that is loud when God agrees with you,
and absent when He does not.
And the question lingers in the noise:
If He does not meet your expectations…
does He still have your loyalty?
